Professional Introduction
Student Teaching
I am completing my student teaching at Durham High School where I have taken the lead teaching a Core Connections 3 course and an Integrated Math 1 course using standards-based grading and research-based Universal Design for Learning methodologies. I also help run the Girls Who Code club at Durham High and taught a Computer Science course at Butte College in Fall 2025.
Education
I graduated from UC Berkeley in 2015 with a B.A. in Classical Civilizations. In 2020 I earned a B.S. in Computer Science in 2019 from Oregon State University. I am a Single Subject credential candidate in Foundational Math and Computer Science graduating Chico State in Spring 2026.

"If I had a position to offer Kamille to work at my site, I would do so without reservation. I trust her as a teacher, an excellent colleague, and a great innovator. She is bold and honest, has high expectations for students, forms relationships with students, and is self-reflective."
Debbi Parcell
University Supervisor, Chico State
"Kamille has developed a solid understanding of the instructional cycle and approaches lesson planning with care and intentionality. She consistently incorporates Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies to make content accessible to a wide range of learners. One of her strengths is her ability to break down complex mathematical concepts and organize instruction in a clear, structured way that supports student understanding. Her lessons are aligned to well-defined learning goals and are designed to promote both conceptual understanding and student engagement. In the classroom, she uses a variety of engagement strategies and establishes clear expectations that contribute to a positive and safe learning environment. Students respond well to her calm, respectful demeanor, and she works intentionally to build strong teacher-student relationships that support both academic and social growth."

Principal, Durham High
"What sets Ms. Delgardo apart from many other teachers is her previous career in the Information Technology (IT) sector. While many educators struggle to answer the age-old student question, 'When will I ever use this?' Kamille answers it with life experience. She doesn't just teach algorithms, she teaches the logic systems that power the digital world."
